Prof. Thomas Barnay, Ph.D., M.Sc., is a 2021–22 French Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice (the Commonwealth Fund). He is Visiting Professor at the Department of Health Care Policy, Harvard Medical School, Harvard University, Boston, USA (2021-2022) and works with Joseph P. Newhouse and Richard G.Frank on the impact of COVID-19 on Mental Health among adults 50 and over in the USA and in Europe. As a health economist, he is Full Professor of Economics, Université Paris-Est Créteil, ÉRUDITE, France (on leave). He is also Vice-President of the French Health Economists Association and Co-responsible for “Health Economics and Public Health” pilar, LIVE (LIfe trajectories and health VulnErability) Graduate School (Université Paris-Est Créteil, France). His research focuses on health, working conditions, and employment; aging populations and access to care, with a public health policy dimension.
