Christopher Worsham, MD, MPH

Christopher Worsham, M.D., M.P.H. is a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a Teaching Associate at the HMS Department of Health Care Policy. He is a federally funded health services researcher who performs large database research using econometric methods, focusing on the use of natural experiments to study physician behavior, resource utilization, and health care policy. Originally from Washington, D.C., he obtained his B.S. in Statistics from the University of Michigan, M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School, M.P.H. in quantitative methods at Harvard, and completed his clinical training as an internal medicine resident at Boston University Medical Center, a Chief Resident in Quality and Safety at BUMC and VA Boston, and pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at MGH and BIDMC. He holds board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine. He is the co-author, with Anupam Jena, of Random Acts of Medicine: The Hidden Forces That Sway Doctors, Impact Patients, and Shape Our Health.
